A little about Mr. Cooper...

I graduated from Cadillac High School in 2000 and went to Grand Valley State University for my bachelor's degree in education.  Right after graduation I moved down to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in hot pursuit of a girl (now my wife).  I taught 4th grade in Baton Rouge for three years in a pretty tough school.  Since I moved to Traverse City, I have taught first grade, third grade, fourth grade, I was an aide in a kindergarten class, and now I'm back where I've had most of my experience, 5th grade!  I earned my master's degree in education and technology integration from Nova Southeastern University.

In my free time you will find me with a fishing pole in my hand, but I enjoy all outdoor activities.  I've been married for thirteen years to my wonderful wife, Dr. Mindy.  She is a veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital.  We have two sons.  Case is turning eight this year and Mack is going to turn five in March!

This is my thirteenth year in the Traverse City Area Public School system.  I am very excited to be back in 5th grade and look forward to the best year yet!
